III Wild Women’s World Festival
WILD. Is inspired by the concept of «wild woman» as portrayed by the psychologist CLARISSA PINKOLA ESTES in her book Women Who Run with the Wolves. Observing packs of wolves, the author establishes similarities in the behavior of women and wolves, comparing their endurance and strength, especially concerned with their young, mates and pack. The name «wild woman» is given referring to «the essence of the feminine soul».
WOMEN. Because the Festival is focused on them.
WORLD. Dedicated to all women on this Planet without boundaries or frontiers.
Wild Women’s World Festival WWW Festival is a festival celebrating feminine energy. It’s a principal aim is to bring awareness of this experience to everyday life.
It´s important to stress that the festival is not only for women, men can and should take part. It’s a gathering about women for everyone.
The 3rd edition of the Festival aims to illustrate the important role of feminine energy in the world and how it has a positive influence in modern society and balances the destructive element on our planet.
The festival´s theme will be Educating Women.
Educating women in relation to the real and essential things in life - Human Beings, Earth and Nature to create a world that is healthier: physically, emotionally and spiritually.
We chose Castle Rocco Brivio because of its magical and beautiful surroundings. It is a place that inspires tranquility and peace, positive energy and creative ideas. In this idyllic setting, past and present, art and culture fuse to ignite the senses and create an unforgettable experience.
Taking part in the Festival will be important female world leaders, teachers specializing in education, human study and investigation, personal growth, wellbeing and mind and body trainers.
There will be performances inspired by the different aspects of women with the participation of young artists from Italy and Europe, schools of dance, singing, theater. Shows performed by international companies. The famous "Vagina Monologues". We hope to have Martha Graham´s Company (USA)
Workshops of:
- singing and dancing, art as an expression of oneself;
- sculpture, patchwork, develop creativity and craft;
- sacred Sexuality: knowledge and acceptance of the female body;
- personal growth: learning to love oneself, recognize and appreciate;
- women and spirituality: contemplative art (meditation, ikebana, Eastern techniques, contemplative photography), being calm and active at the same time, being able to confront the difficulties and problems and the same time being positive;
- cooking, how to cook with the pleasure and love.
Spontaneous improvisation from all participants will be encouraged throughout the Festival.
